But the warm fuzzy in my belly from eating said pancakes, and bratwurst and some cocoa make it all ok.
God bless the ChristKindle Markt in Daley Plaza.
And woo-hoo for my parents and sibling coming downtown to have lunch with me there.
And cha-ching to the candy shoppe who has my $$$, and I have their cola gummies, and cherry gummies, and chocolate santas, and wafer kuchens, and kinder eggs......
Man, I love german stuff.

The first wines I bought on a regular basis (i.e. more than once in a blue moon) were Liebfraumilch.
(Now I'm pretty much red wine all the time, but that was then.)

Hooray for German stuff! Glad to hear the holiday season is a happy one for you.
Thunda - that's the good stuff! But I am also a red wine person myself these days.....
I smell like potato pancakes
That is so hot.
German stuff has been much better since they decided to make potato pancakes and not war.
Yum, Von!!
You're reminding me, it's time to make pfeffernusse. The recipe I have makes 600 so I'll be sure to give you some. :)
Love pfeffernusse!!!
Yum....
When I lived in France I realized that indeed there is some good stuff in our Pork and Potatoe Country.
Good north german Pilsen-style beer is super, with a lot of hops in it, very bitter. German chocolate (milka!), and Schwarzbrot (grain bread) in one thousand varieties. In no other country I can buy my beloved turkish stuff as well, like Ayran (salty drink yoghurt) or a good Döner (Kebap)...
I would think Potato Pancake would be a fragrance that would attract a fair number of gentlemen....
@brando: I agree, war does not taste that good, compared to Bratkartoffeln, Streuselkuchen and Glühwein..
You know what I don't like about potato pancakes?
Nothing.
see, Von?
You attracted snag!! He's a man!!
..what the hell, a day off and no blogging? You should see what Jennifer and I did to fish's place!
Well, there's that.
I know! I meant to post yesterday, and the day totally got away from me!!
I'll have to get on that....
**word verf: pooduall
really?!?!?**
One last thing: Why do you call them "Potatoe Pancakes"? The real word "Kartoffelpuffer" fits much better to them. Serve Kartoffelpuffer with apple sauce or just sugar.
