And another thing

Another thing I don't really write about? Sports. I leave that to Brando. BUT Guess who showed up and decided to play some actual football yesterday? The Greebay Packers did. The Bears did not. Like VonMom says, it's all about who wants it. Who really really wants it. I guess the Bears didn't really want it, when the only one playing the actual game was my main squeeze, Brian Urlacher. I did want the Jets to win, though, then. I hear the Jets not only knock you down, but they break your legs doing it. The Packers could use a few broken legs. So, on Super Bowl Sunday I'll likely be at home with some chili/cheese dip and the commercials. Eagerly awaiting the special Glee episode. Yesterday's loss means nothing to my life, not really. I still had to wake up and come to work this morning, so things are pretty much the same. Besides, it's mere weeks 'til spring training!

Your third string QB wanted to play, at least. Unlike the first two...

I beg to differ. Hanie showed up! People were griping about how Cutler left the game. Thank goodness he did! They scored two TD's after he left.

And that's the extent of my football blogging. I agree, leave it to Brando. :) Also, life does indeed go on.

Happy Monday, Von!

Hey, Aaron Rodgers spent most of the second half throwing the ball at his receivers' feet. If that's playing football, I wonder what they will be playing in Dallas?

O Von, we always knew it would come down to this, didn't we? Bears-Packers is an unbreachable chasm between us...

Break their legs, indeed. Don't be bitter.

I was begging to differ with Von, not thundra, who said the same thing I did, just earlier.

Maybe Von can remove comment moderation before spring training! :)

Special Glee episode?! What?! I know nothing about this?!

J - If I take it off, y'all will have to be vigilant with me, I still think there are two particular trolls lurking.
Sil1x - Oh, yep, for sure. Glee is doing an episode based on Thriller immediately following the Super Bowl. With zombie football players....

I watched both games in my NEW house in a NEW town full of stately old buildings, beautiful and successful young people, trendy retail outlets, many, MANY exciting new restaurants, most of which will have been replaced by NEW exciting new restaurants by fall, and wealthy, friendly old people who love to stop and chat, and I indulge them to whatever extent I can because you never know if they are looking to designate a new heir to replace that flighty ne'er do well son who's run off to some ashram in India, fer gawds sake...

I need to visit mikey's NEW house.... if, that is, the RUM THIEVES have not visited!!

Spring Training! Ahh, there's a sport where we will not clash! Cubs or Brewers, always mediocre at best....

MMMM HMMMMMM.

All looking up to the WORLD CHAMPION SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS, YOUR NATIONAL LEAGUE AND WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS.

Sorry. That's just so weird it's still fun to say.

Pitching, as they say, beats good hitting every time.

but pitching seems to be of relatively little use in footer-ball games LIKE THE SUPER BOWL IN WHICH THE PACKERS ARE PLAYING!!!

I apologize to Von and mikey for my enthusiasm. But you see, I had to live through the eras when Bart Starr was the coach, and Lynn Dickey was the quarterback.

Or Brett Majkowski (shudder).

Anybody in the area, I know of a good Super Bowl party and we will be nice to you, regardless of your favorite team persuasion.

Want to know a secret?
I'm rooting for the Packers. Good enough to beat Urlacher, good enough for me.
Go Packers.
