So, this book I just read

So, I read this book over last week, called "Feed" by Mira Grant.
TheMarty insisted that I read it ASAP, so I did.
Plus, I had me a lot of time to read, during my most recent quarentine.
The book? Well, it was pretty good.

But that's not what I wanted ot discuss.

So, the book is about post-zombiacolypse living.
The news, the entertainment, all of it comes from bloggers.
Blogging, actually, is one of the main characters of the book.

So I got to thinking.
If I take my blog-roll and apply it to the premise of the book, would I be alright?
Never for one second did I put myself in the leading lady roll, that's just not me.
But my blog roll?
Would they become my people for realz? My network? My internet family?

Well, my recent bout of illnesses has proved that they already are these things.
They are my people, my network, my ifamily, and my friends.

So, yeah. I think it's a safe bet for us getting through the Zombipocalypse together.
Especially since one of us already IS a member of the undead.

Also, being BOTH an undead and a member of an deadish-profession, one will have especial talents in preparing plans for a zombie-proof blogger's compound.

f course, the architect will be late with the drawings, as is tradition; so perhaps it is a less-than-optimal arrangement.

And the roof will leak. (but the doors will be beautiful)

So the book pretty much sounds like situation normal.

This post is only missing one thing... a video. :-P

So, does this mean the Rick Roll survives the end of civilization? How do they keep the electricity flowing and the servers operating?

Simple, BBBB.

In the future, Rick Rolls will be done by tom tom.

It's pretty interesting how it goes.
So, like the zombies all happen, but things are kinda normal.
As far as blogging goes, anyway.

hmpf. MY roofs don't leak. Stop hiring inferior architects.

So there's communications that aren't tom toms. I knew that.

Stop hiring inferior architects.

Like FL Wright.

or frank Gehry and his Damn Fish.

Hah. I know what Wright did wrong.

you'll have to excuse fish's misguided architect-hate. I fear he hired a cheap one at some point, and is still bitter. You know how those East Coast elitist snobby architects can be.

Sounds like he might have overpaid for an over-specified door also.

I understand, friend fish.

fish only hires architects who live in the ocean (Midwestern architects are too corny). No wonder stuff leaks.

Re: post-zombiacolypse:

Ur Doin it Rong!

Why do they never get this?

Canon says you shoot 'em in the head. So they use all these bigass shotguns and military rifle n shit.

And what happens?

Yep. Run out of rounds to put through downrange zombie crania. All leading to a bad end, ending up a deli brain sammich for the mindless masses.

So lookie here. .22 rimfire. Cheap, ubiquitous, and you can carry more rounds than they have braincases. One of my own faves is a Colt Woodsman .22 auto manufactured in 1961 especially for the air force, called a "Hush Puppy", with an integrated suppressor. Not a terrible menace in general use, but in post-zombiacolyps society, it's a sustainable life saving technology.

Thank you. Carry on with your lives knowing some of us think this shit all the way through...

I'm moving in with Mikey in the event of zombipocalypse.

mikey seems to be saying he will shoot me in the head, so I can't be there, Von.

LOL. I never thought of this. PERFECT

I never thought of this.

THE LEGAL PROFESSION IS UNPREPARED FOR THE ZOMBOCALYPSE.

I think the job of the living IS shooting the Zs in the head.

But if you PROMISE with no backsies that you won't bite me, you'll live past my guns, ZRM.

Um, if "live" is the proper term here...
