In the middle of a conversation I was having about the weather with TLB (hater of all things metal and GnR), I dropped a perfectly placed "well, it's better than a cold November rain." She looked ready to leave me on the spot.
Awful, awful, awful movie. TLB loves to put it on whenever it's running.
Her metal hate is somewhat understandable. She went to high school at the same place where Minitruck Mullet Guy did. I think he was a class ahead of her. It was stoner city and she gravitated away from anything that Beavis and Butthead would find cool. Which is why, when she met a dashing young man in a Cure shirt bearing Robert Smith's florescent face, she fell in love.

I can understand metal hate, since I often feel it, but still don't fully understand the loathing of The Goonies.
