I have the need

to live vicariously through all of you.

My normally awesome life is slanted a little towards the "responsible adult" side of things this weekend.
Here you go:
Tonight, working a show at Old Town.

Saturday: Breakfast with VonMom, guitar class, working a show at Old Town.

Sunday: Brunch with my little fluff ball*, working a show at Old Town.

So, the ratio of responsibility to awesome is skewed in the wrong direction, alas.

Instead, please tell me all of the fun things YOU are doing this weekend. M'kay?

* My little fluff ball.  Sigh.  I'm going to need to write a post just about her.  She's a 23 year old little clinger I have acquired.  She is damn persistent on the "let's make plans!" front, hence the brunch.  All kidding aside, it's nice to have a minion.

I am being an adult, but this adult is busy trying to recreate a 7yr-olds unicorn party into a 16 yr-olds "Ironic Hipster Unicorn" party...

I must now wreak hipster havoc on the recently acquired unicorn pinata, and must remember how I made that damn cake, so many years ago...

Enjoy your minion!

I may be grown but I'm not grown up. Responsibility is still something other kids talk about like baseball cards or Smurfs. I'm familiar with the sound but not the language.

Needs a fish head.

You may need head, fish, but there will be no fish head for the retro unicorn party.

It will be challenging, however, to look at that painting and not think of fish.

Hmm. Being such an inveterate loner, pretty much your polar opposite, the "fun things" I do are things that you can enjoy alone. I like to spend a day at the range, burning through 500 rounds and looking at everybody else's toys. But that's off limits (again) until I find a job and a regular income (again). Sometimes when I need to do something and there's nothing else to do, I just get on BART and ride around, get off here and there and stroll around various parts of the Bay Area. It's real cheap entertainment, and you find all sorts of interesting stuff. Also, too, I live right in the downtown part of a little high-income urban community full of yuppies, hipsters and educated young people, so there are TONS of little boutiques, bistros, restaurants and the like withing a few blocks. So when the weather's nice I have that to wander around in too.
